Database Developer (Volunteer)

Sustainable Campuses, a program of the Sierra Youth Coalition, is looking to build and launch an online platform to house and foster information sharing and social networking between individuals and groups working towards campus sustainability. We envision an online database with a user friendly interface and easily searchable functionality to house campus sustainability projects and student research. Position descriptionReporting to the Sustainable Campuses National Coordinator of the Sierra Youth Coalition, the Database Developer will be primarily responsible for creating the Sustainable Campuses database. Responsibilities  Create the Sustainable Campuses databaseWork with Database Team to ensure needed functionality (ie. easily searchable, logically labeling system, login capabilities, ability to be populated by all users, compatible with social media platforms) Work with Database Designer to create an attractive and user friendly interfaceWork with the Database team to develop a labeling/tagging system Other duties as assignedReporting to the Sustainable Campuses National Coordinator of the Sierra Youth Coalition, the Database Developer will be primarily responsible for creating the Sustainable Campuses database.   • Create the Sustainable Campuses database
  • Work with Database Team to ensure needed functionality (ie. easily searchable, logically labeling system, login capabilities, ability to be populated by all users, compatible with social media platforms) 
  • Work with Database Designer to create an attractive and user friendly interface
  • Work with the Database team to develop a labeling/tagging system 
  • Other duties as assigned
