Past events

The LEAForum 2013 was a free, full-day conference designed to promote youth leadership on environmental issues and sustainability.

Held on April 18, 2013 at the Canadian Museum of Nature, the conference offered skills building workshops, activities, and speakers that would help students take personal action, work to improve their community, and help reduce their schools' impact on the environment.

Students only needed to bring a litterless lunch and a desire to learn and have fun!

We invited up to 100 students and 20 teachers from the Ottawa area to join us for the day, as well as local community groups and scientists. Among the workshop presenters at the conference were the Sustainable High Schools Project, the Campus Food Systems ProjectEcology OttawaThe Otesha Project and Students on Ice.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
