SHS at your School - Steering Committee - Go to the Conference
The Sierra Youth Coalition offers a variety of sustainability education programs for schools. We currently offer a range of activities, from individual workshops on sustainability to a full series of workshops that guide students through the process of completing a school sustainability audit and/or inventory of their school’s greenhouse gas emissions. All programs are compatible with curriculum and employ hands-on activities that invoke critical thought, group work, problem solving and team building.
Registration is ongoing until all spaces are filled. Please contact Gabriela at shs.esd@syc-cjs.org to arrange for a visit!

Take the Lead! Join our Steering Committee
The SHS Steering Committee brings together students leading sustainability initiatives at their schools and is the official decision maker for the Sustainable High Schools project. We’re looking for members. If you want to meet and make friends with students from all across Ottawa, learn to make decisions by consensus, keep an ear to the ground as to what’s happening to make our schools more sustainable, and decide how to create a network of youth working for change, contact Gabriela at shs.esd@syc-cjs.org.
