Sustainable Campuses hosts regional conferences to give students an opportunity for networking, peer-to-peer skills sharing, and strategizing about regional projects and issues. By working together and sharing our ideas and projects, we are helping to build a Prairies network of focused environmental student-activists.
Last year's conference took place at the University of Alberta in Edmonton from January 22-24. It was held in partnership with ECOS and goBEYOND, and featured inspiring workshops and speakers. Keynote speakers included Elizabeth May, MP and NDP Environment Critic Linda Duncan and the author of 'The Economics of Happiness', Mark Anielski.
The host for the conference is selected every winter semester through an application process, email national@syc-cjs.org for more information.
