Business Development Intern (Volunteer)

Sustainable Campuses, a program of the Sierra Youth Coaliation, is looking to build and launch an online platform to house and foster information sharing and social networking between individuals and groups working towards campus sustainability. We envision an online database with a user friendly interface and easily searchable functionality to house campus sustainability projects and student research. Reporting to the Sustainable Campuses National Coordinator of the Sierra Youth Coalition, the Business Development Intern will be primarily responsible for developing a business plan for the Sustainable Campuses database as a fee for service. Your responsibilities:  

• Explore different fee for service models and identify key markets (ie. individual vs. institutional fee, charge Student Unions, charge separate University and college departments, etc.)
• Write Sustainable Campuses database business plan
• Set realistic goals and targets for number of database users
• Work with Database Design and Marketing Intern to create and market a fee for service package to potential database users
• Other duties as assigned
